Have Kids?
Kids matter to God. And our goal with NextGen ministries is to help kids and youth encounter God just as they are.
The Rock is our ministry for children from infants - 5th grade. At The Rock, we help your kids meet Jesus as kids. Each week we create an environment that uncovers how great God is, and how your child can follow him.
Boulder is our student ministry for youth in 6 - 12th grades. The goal of Boulder is to help the youth become disciples of Jesus and find their place with God in the world today.
Use the button below to get in touch with our NextGen Director, Gwen Johnson to get any questions answered and make sure you know what to expect on a Sunday morning.
Have Questions?
We would love to answer them!
We are located at 6120 Mason Hill Rd. in McHenry, IL.
Sunday worship services are at 8:30 and 10:30am. Both services are indentical in content and style. We also have a discipleship class time from 9:45 - 10:15am. There are classes for children, youth, and adults.
If you would like to talk with someone when you arrive to get the lay of the land, stop by the Connect Center, which is right in front of you as you come into the building. Here you can meet one of our hosts who can direct you where to go and answer any questions that you have.
If you would like to visit us but aren't ready to connect with people, we totally get that! There is no pressure to fill out our plan your visit form or stop by the Connect Center. Whatever makes your expereince the best and you most comfortable! Come in, grab some coffee, find a seat and enjoy the service!
The Rock children's ministry is located toward the back of the coffeehouse (to the back left of the building when you walk in). There is a large yellow sign that hangs above the entrance to The Rock.
For youth, our Boulder room is located just past the fireplace to the left when you enter the coffeehouse. It is down a short hallway and the last door on the left.
If you need help finding anything, our hosts would be glad to direct you! Find anyone with a red lanyard and nametag and they can get you where you need to go.
Our worship style is modern, contemporary, and family-friendly. We have a worship band that is pretty awesome in our opinion! We ultilize various forms of multimedia, lighting, videos, and music to support the good news of the Gospel. There is a tmessage from out Pastor in every service and we have communion every other week.
Come as you are, whether that is in casual clothes, your most comfy sweatpants, or wearing your Sunday best. All are welcome here!
Our hosts at the Connect Center would be happy to direct you to various ministry leaders that you are interested in meeting. Pastor Dave, or senior pastor, is usually floating around the Connect Center after services. He is always ready to meet new people and answer any questions you might have.
Our small groups run in 2 semester-long sessions, September to December, and January to April. A lot of our groups meet during our Wednesday Night Ministries block from 5pm-7pm. The current Spring session of groups are done for the summer, but there are always other groups meeting through the year. Check out our Groups page to learn more about the different groups that are available.
Our Serve page has a short survey on it that will help you discover your interests and give you multiple ministry areas where you can serve.
